The Southern Wells High School Biology Club is a nationally sponsored and recognized organization (NABT) which caterers to those 9-12 students that not only enjoy the “soft” sciences (aka biology); but, would like to expand their interests of the life sciences beyond the classroom. The club is meant to accommodate both unbusy and busy students alike by communicating mainly online, meeting outside school hours / sport practices, and having no time committing fund-raisers. In addition, there are no dues/fees for joining.
Those in the club understand that they are responsible for some minor expenses (i.e. lab materials, food costs, field trips), transport-ation from meetings outside school hours, being in good standing regarding school behavior and grades, having a parent/guardian form (to be provided) completed prior to any functions and that a minimum of five (5) activities/participations that must be met by the end of the school year. In order to be recognized for being in the club for various applications, resumes, and/or scholarships, you must have completed prior commitments. Seniors fulfilling these obligations will receive the coveted and official green graduation cord to keep.
